Hello, adventurers!
Clarissa, lead dev of Enigma Heart, here. I’m proud to announce that a playable, public demo of Enigma Heart is available right now! Released on Steam for the June Next Fest event, it’s also available on itch.io as promised! We hope you enjoy playing it as much as we’re enjoying making it.
Where We Are Now
There’s a ways to go before the full game is done. The demo is the entirety of the first chapter of the story, about two hours of gameplay (probably longer, if you’re new to Zelda II style action RPGs). Development is ongoing, of course, and we could use your help!
You can grab the demo on itch.io for free, or even toss in a few bucks if you’d like to support development. There’s no obligation, however, and we’re greatly thankful to you for playing it no matter what. 💜️
That said, if you do plan on checking out the demo, we’d really appreciate if you also played it on Steam during the upcoming Next Fest! Steam visibility is heavily driven by player activity during the event, and every download and wishlist genuinely helps the game reach more people.
So:
- 🌟️ Want the DRM-free build? Itch.io is the place!
- 🧌️ Want to help us wrangle the algorithm? Please check it out on Steam as well! 🙏️
- 📣️ Either way, share Enigma Heart with friends who might enjoy it too! The more the merrier!
- 📺️ And stay tuned for future updates here, on Steam, or on Mastodon and Bluesky.
Thanks again for your support! We couldn’t do it without you!
